Geldek - a limestone massif with a peak plateau and distinctive rock formations is largely surrounded by a fence. It has two peaks, the eastern / 694.4 m above sea level /, lying on the edge of a large deforested plateau, and the western (694.7 m above sea level), located on a high rock terrace. Between the peaks, about 1 kilometer apart, is an indistinct saddle. Although Geldek is not one of the highest peaks in the Little Carpathians, its location in the middle of the mountains outside the main ridge makes it a distinctive and easily recognizable landmark.

There is no marked route here and the main peak is best accessible along the eastern slope along the zoo fence.
In the 50s of the 20th century, it began to appear on maps under the name Jelenec, but this name did not take place and the original name Geldek / Keldek is still used today. The old name is probably derived from the German word Goldeck, which was the name of a larger area with gold.
