The church was built in 1783-85 by evangelicals from 13 Liptov villages. It was originally a simple classicist building without a tower. It was added to the temple almost 100 years later and has served as the main entrance ever since. With a capacity of 1,700 seats, it is one of the largest evangelical churches in Slovakia.
