The Parina reservoir was built in 1993. The main reason for its construction was the lack of water for fisheries, especially in the summer. The reservoir serves not only as a source of water for lower ponds but also fulfills a protective function. Above the reservoir was a stone dam, used to capture sediments, soil, gravel and branches. In 2008, it was replaced by a new, concrete, taller, more efficient and more modern dam with a slotted passage and a larger sedimentation space for collecting sediments.
