The village of Baldovce lies in the Hornád basin, in a historically and naturally very interesting area. The first written mention of it comes from the year 1274. It belonged to the states of the nearby Spiš Castle. The name of the village was derived from the comrade Balda, who worked here in the 13th century. Today's Baldovce have almost 200 inhabitants.
