In 2006, the village of Majcichov commemorated the 740th anniversary (1266) of its first written mention, although its existence dates back to a period of 35,000 BC. For this jubilee, the village published a book by Adriana Račková - Traditions and Songs from Majcichov, and a memorial plaque was unveiled to the local dean and pastor Konštantín Hurban at the local COOP Jednota store.
