The favorable natural conditions of the Devičany area, the proximity of the forest and the abundance of spring water have long provided a unique opportunity for the development of agriculture, where the cultivation of cereals, fruits and vegetables dominates and the vineyard is doing well. The surrounding forests offer the possibility of hunting high and wild animals and hiking. It is worth noting the hunting manor hidden in the woods, which was built in the 18th century by the Austrian magnate, Knight Scholler, and today is the property of the Slovak Forests.
Among the rarities located in the cadastre of the village is a rare protected tree Devičianska oskoruša, whose age is estimated at 400 years, the circumference of the trunk of this rare tree is 130 cm above the ground 432 cm and the diameter of the crown measures 20 m.
Nice scenery below the Štiavnica Mountains, dominated by the myth of Sitno with wooded slopes and a pleasant climate, when there are 50 summer days with temperatures above 25 degrees C, in winter an average temperature of 2-3 degrees C, creates an ideal environment for hiking in the surrounding forests , which offer an abundance of wild berries and mushrooms and for fishermen the possibility of fishing on a nearby pond or dam Lipovina suitable for water sports and swimming.
