The activities of the museum are focused on the development of spiritual and material Jewish culture and the documentation of the Holocaust in Slovakia. The main activities of the museum include collection, documentation and subsequent presentation activities. Its aim is to save three-dimensional Judaica, documents, paintings or memorabilia from destruction, forgetting or exporting abroad and to present them to the general public in the form of expositions and exhibitions. The results are remarkable and speak for themselves. At the opening of the museum, the museum's collection represented only 5% of its own items acquired through purchase, up to 95% of the items were borrowed from various Jewish religious communities. Today, loans represent only 20 pieces of the total number of collection items, 50% are donations. Accompanying the fact of donation is the idea of donors that the objects will be professionally treated and made available to the public.
