The memorial represents a massive pillar as a tribute to the inhabitants of the digs during the events of 1944 and 1945.
A memorial to the SNP was unveiled as a tribute to the events of 1944 and 1945 and at the same time to the brave inhabitants of Kopanice. It is a massive column made of duralumin and aluminum tubes. The relief of wrought copper depicts the horrors of war and human sacrifice, the pipes depict the flame that broke out in the uprising for the liberation of our country. The monument is the work of academic sculptor Vladimír Farár from Bratislava.
