The vineyard informs the public about the varieties of grape vine grown in European viticulture with special regard to Central European ecological conditions.
Among the 30 selected varieties, the varieties are included in the List of Registered Varieties, as well as newly bred Slovak varieties, as well as old varieties grown in the area of the village of Šenkvice in the Middle Ages.
The second part of the sidewalk presents the development of vineyard guidance systems through 15 examples of basic methods of cutting and guiding the vine from head to head (wireless method) to high guidance in various modifications (vertical and suspension).
The Tramín červený variety was chosen as the basis, which has always achieved excellent quality in Šenkvice and has been the most sought-after wine in the vineyards of Bratislava. The biological material comes directly from South Tyrol - from the village of Tramino - from an 80-year-old vineyard.
A total of 240 seedlings of this variety are planted in 15 rows. A part of the educational trail is a meteorological station monitoring the basic meteorological parameters necessary for the effective protection of the vineyard as a demonstration means of supporting care in viticulture.
