The village of Lakšárska Nová Ves entered written history in 1392 with a deed of donation by the Hungarian king Sigismund of Luxemburg. In the local part of Mikulášov there is a classicist chapel from the end of the 18th century. Mikulášov also belongs to the parish of Lakšárska Nová Ves. The residents of this part have been toying with the idea of building their own church for a long time. Because of communism, the residents decided to build only a house of mourning in 1969. In 1999, a tower was added to the church and a bell from the belfry was placed in it. The cross on the tower was donated by Slovak natives from Canada. The church was consecrated on August 11, 2007 by Bishop Mons. Štefan Vrablec. Divine services are held regularly on Fridays at 6:00 p.m. and on Sundays at 9:00 a.m.
