The chapel was built from the collections of the faithful and blessed on May 25, 1869. In 1871, the interior of the chapel was renovated and painted. The chapel was surrounded by vineyards, which belonged to farmers and winegrowers from Šúroviec, Vinohradov nad Váhom and Šintava. The winegrowers have a solemn mass here on the feast of St. Urbana on May 25, their patron.
