The Seredský manor of the Esterházys was created after the last reconstruction of the buildings standing on the former fortifications of the Šintava Water Castle in 1841, as a classicist building with a built-in bastion, a remnant of the former glory of the anti-Turkish fortifications. Extensive archaeological research was conducted in the courtyard of the mansion between 1981 and 1992, which revealed the foundations of the medieval castle of Sigismund of Luxemburg. However, the remains of the fortifications of the ford guards on the Česká cesta were also found under the medieval castle.
