The statue of the legionnaire is one of the dominant monuments of the city of Sereď. The statue is located near the city hall and the department store "Jednota". The current 3.5-meter statue standing on a 3-meter-high pedestal is a replica of the original statue from 1929, which mysteriously disappeared shortly after the change of state regime, and despite the efforts of the city of Sereď, the original statue was not found. The authors of this art are sculptors Jozef Pospíšil and Vojtech Ihriský. The statue weighs around 2.5 tons and is in the sandstone motif.
