Every year on April 1, a memorial service is held at the memorial, during which primary school students lay wreaths at the memorial, as a sign of respect for fallen soldiers in World War II. In this way, the young generation will not only honor the lives of their fallen compatriots and liberating armies, but will recall the most terrible period of the past, which in many ways can teach them a lesson.
The monument, consisting of three visually separated blocks, depicts three currents of anti-fascist resistance, the Red Army, Romanian units involved in the fighting in Slovakia and the local resistance. The monument dates from 1974, but was recently reconstructed.
