The Evangelical Church stands on the so-called “Lutheran hill. According to local tradition, the original Renaissance church was built in 1630 by German immigrants. In 1681, the Sopron dream declared it articular. Today's brick church was built in the 18th century, probably shortly after the Toleration Patent was issued (1781). It burned down in 1820 and was not restored until the early 1920s, as evidenced by the truss dating from 1822.

They did not complete the renovation of the interior until 1830, when they completed the gilding work. The church was probably hit by a small fire in 1849, so it was restored in the same year. Larger repairs were carried out in 1941, 1968 - 1969, 1989 and most recently in 2001 - 2003. Thanks to its historical and artistic value and originality, the interior of the church awaits registration among the cultural monuments of the Slovak Republic. A special valuable part of the church furniture is a small organ.
