In the premises of the museum, there is an exposition dedicated to the history of Nové Mesto and its surroundings, its culture and traditions. It is divided into individual parts dedicated to archaeology, history, ethnography and the history of craft guilds in Nové Mesto and its surroundings. A separate section introduces the visitor to the rich church history of this region. The Podjavorin museum is housed in a Renaissance building, which is also called Giláni dom or "Gilániovec" after one of the owners.
