About the Goldsmith's Church
The necessity of the construction of a branch church in Zlatníky was justified by the dean of Hieronym Kroček after 1989 with the effort to restore, resp. saving religious life in the village. In 1991 and 1992, St. Mass in the House of Culture. The foundation stone of the new church was consecrated by Pope John Paul II. on his first visit to Slovakia. The author of the project documentation and responsible for the church project was Ing. Ján Bezák from Tovarník, who made it completely free of charge. The Archbishop's Office in Trnava approved the project on June 12, 1991, and construction began in July and August 1991. Two years later, in October 1993, a Birmovka was held in connection with the solemn consecration of the church by the Assistant Bishop of Trnava and Vicar General Dominik Tóth. The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary the Queen and its feast is commemorated every year by the inhabitants around 22 August with traditional feast festivities.
Inside the church there is an altar painting of the Virgin Mary the Queen, the Stations of the Cross and a large wooden cross by the woodcarver Ján Chovan from Dekýš. There are two statues in the niches of the church vestibule, on the right a statue of the Virgin Mary the Queen and on the left a statue of the Divine Heart.
